Double denim - yes or no?

I’ve bought myself a denim shirt, but wondering what to wear it with. It actually looks good with my jeans, and with my denim skirt. Wondering if double denim is still a big no, as in a funny way it actually looks quite current.

I love double denim. Use a brightly coloured scarf as a belt to add interest. Trust me, it'll look fab

I love denim shirts but nearly always wear jeans or denim skirts so haven’t worn one since the student days of wearing leggings! I just can’t bring myself to-I feel like I’m going to a barn dance!

No, from me dd wears a nice oversized denim shirt with leggings and shorts not with blue jeans.

Personally, I think double denim is fine, as long as the denims are different colours. I have two denim jackets, one in very pale blue, and one a mid blue, and both look good with black jeans - I don’t wear either with blue jeans because I don't think It looks great. Likewise I have a pale blue denim shirt, almost chambray, and like it with black jeans.
That’s me, but as ever, if you like it with whatever you like, wear it and feel great!

Some of the Glamour ones look hideous. Mila Kunis, Gwen Stefani and Jessica Hart look great, as does Katie Holmes.

If it helps, my very fashion conscious teen is currently doing double denim: puff sleeve denim shirt and Jean's.

It's dodgy and not a good look unless you are an adorable baby, uber cool teen or in a cowboy-esque roll and even in all those situs still better to avoid imo.

i wear a denim jacket with jeans and i think it looks ok. I do have a denim shirt but its longline so tend to wear with a cardigan and leggings
