I just ordered some!! I am 5ft 5 and ordered a regular. The reviews say they are cut very small so I ordered a 14 rather than a 12.

I will be wearing them with trainers or Birkenstocks.

Will update as soon as I receive them.

damnthatanxiety · 15/07/2020 20:54

Bootcuts are so unflattering. Wide at the top...wide at the bottom....skinny in the middle.Unless you are long and leggy, they just look bad and accentuate the bulbous bits

lockdownalli · 15/07/2020 21:11

I think it's just that different jeans suit different body shapes.

I have relatively skinny legs and feel they balance me out nicely Smile

somewomenneedaslap · 15/07/2020 21:13

I love m&s jeans have around 6 different pairs from jeggings to boyfriend jeans.

peachypetite · 15/07/2020 21:15

I’m your height and get short.

lindyloo57 · 15/07/2020 22:16

I'm going to order short and go up a size , will update how they fit.

Ponks · 15/07/2020 22:28

I'm your height and always get medium, but I am large of thigh 😊 so maybe that takes up the length a bit. Short length always looks just that bit odd.

Ponks · 15/07/2020 22:29

PS in general the M&S jeans are great quality for the price, I love the relaxed slim.

Scattyhattie · 16/07/2020 16:47

M&S denim is nice & feels thick compared to most, i ended up with sienna's.

Are the bootcuts now still as wide as years ago or just a bit of a flare to indeed accommodate a boot underneath which was useful in winter.

GrimDamnFanjo · 16/07/2020 17:42

I'm the same height and wear short.

Oly4 · 16/07/2020 20:49

Another M&S jeans fan, I love the Harper

princessTiasmum · 17/07/2020 10:21

I love M&S jeans /trousers,as i am ony 5ft tall and can't get short enough anywhere else that are nice enough,
Although their short ones are not as short as they used to be
I haven't seen any bootcut ones, must go and have a look

lindyloo57 · 17/07/2020 11:24

Just ordered the eve short boot cut and the cotton luxury high waisted flared , will let you know how they fit when they come, could be a while as it said delivers are taking longer than normel

OP, probably too late, but Marks and Spencer jeans are usually generous.

I think bootcuts can be very flattering. It's the cropped ones that look s*ite on me.

DivisionBelles · 17/07/2020 17:45

I've got the Lilly straight leg ones. They are good quality and quite flattering on my short chunky legs.

lockdownalli · 17/07/2020 17:47

So I received the bootcut Eve jeans today. As a reminder I am 5ft 5, and also bought the Siena straight jeans recent;y which fit me perfectly in a size 12. I would be a 12/14 elsewhere.

The Eve fit perfectly size 14R and are exactly the right length for me to wear with trainers or sandals (or low boots) I got the dark indigo colour and it's exactly what you would expect.

Amazing value for the price. The only thing I would change would be to have them slightly tighter on the thigh, like their old slim bootcut.

wifflewafflebiscuit · 17/07/2020 17:50

Short for 5 3

polyhymnia · 17/07/2020 18:07

A serious query: what are ‘relaxed slim’ jeans actually like? Have often heard the term but not tried the jeans and don’t know if it’d be worth it. Presumably they’re wider than skinnies ( which I wear), but how much wider and are they ‘baggy’ at all? Are they like ‘mom’ jeans?

lindyloo57 · 17/07/2020 18:45

I have the marks lily I suppose you could say they are a relax skinnies, or a relax slim, still a skinnie but not so tight if you know what I mean.

motherofgod2 · 17/07/2020 18:53

I used to have the relaxed slim. They're kind of like boyfriend jeans, really nice soft denim. You'd need to size down, their other jeans I feel are true to size but for some reason these are huge.

NotMeNoNo · 17/07/2020 21:57

I've just bought some Sienna (straight) I'm 5.3 and they are the right length to wear with a small roll hem.
Bootcut are great but I'm not quite ready to go there.

CallarMorvern · 18/07/2020 11:59

I have a pair of relaxed slim, they are pretty much like boyfriends, but maybe slightly more fitted, nice to roll over for summer. I bought the same size as the Lily style. The Lily ones are way too high waisted though and I'm 5'10" with a long torso 🤷 I struggle to find a decent slim/skinny midrise and I didn't think I'd ever say that

PurpleDaisies · 18/07/2020 16:34

I’ve got a pair of sienna straight in pale grey that I wear all the time. They’re really comfy and very flattering.

JeanMichelBisquiat · 18/07/2020 16:40

Sienna straight are amazeballs - really good quality!

Villanemme · 18/07/2020 16:54

I love my Lilys! Bought two more pairs at the weekend. I thought the regular came up longer than normal that was my only criticism.
