WFH Wardrobe

titsbumfannythelot · 14/07/2020 19:57

I've just returned to work after 3 months of furlough. I'll be working from home for the foreseeable future and would like some new tops that I can wear with jeans or trousers or dresses.

What is everyone who is wfh wearing? I desperately need some inspiration.

I am wearing tunic tops, Jersey material over leggings.

Have my hair wrapped in a headscarf with dangling earrings

PegasusReturns · 14/07/2020 20:03

Honestly: gym kit Grin

My “normal” work wardrobe would be pretty formal: tailored dresses and blazers or formal trousers with silk blouses. Heels and lots of make up/blow dry.

I work in a exec role with a MNC. No one at my level seems to be wearing anything more formal and makeup seems to have all but disappeared.

AnnaNimmity · 14/07/2020 20:09

I vary between gym kit and dresses. But not my usual work dresses - loose ones.

Ocasionally for more serious meetings, I put on a top over my (sweaty betty) leggings.

Usually do wear make up and lipstick and earrings. But most of my colleagues don't.

RandomMess · 14/07/2020 20:12

PJs!

I get dressed mid afternoon to take the dog out...

wrongsideofhistorymyarse · 14/07/2020 20:14

I rotate.between jeans and a pair of pirate leggings with a top. Noone seems bothered right now.

titsbumfannythelot · 15/07/2020 06:33

I like the sound of pirate leggings.

I feel like I have slobbed about most of the year so wanted to be a bit less casual than gym wear.

Dresses most days. Comfy and practical. All underwear has become something of an optional extra!

peachypetite · 15/07/2020 07:33

Midi and maxi dresses that are comfy and easy to wash.

dudsville · 15/07/2020 07:48

I have 3 styles. The first is the gym kit if I'm going to fit in some exercise between meetings. One of the others is a range of shirt dresses, the fit and flare kind, very comfy but looks smart on camera. The other is toast trousers, very comfy but no one can see my smart trousers, and they're unfortunately paired with a tee shirt and baggy long cardigan. No make up, no accessories and my hair is in a state.

AnaViaSalamanca · 15/07/2020 14:11

bottom - yoga pants or running leggings
top - silk shirt

I am actually liking this a lot. I am quite short waisted so can never pull off the tucked in shirt look, and petite, so could never leave the shirt untucked. These days I am making use of the shirts that have been sitting in the wardrobe for years.

AnaViaSalamanca · 15/07/2020 14:13

@wrongsideofhistorymyarse pirate leggings sound awesome. Do tell.

blackcat86 · 15/07/2020 14:20

I'm living in normal leggings, gym leggings, a pair of nicer joggers and jeans when I go out (I have a non walking toddler so the pockets help for car keys etc). I have 2 pairs of house shorts for nicer weather and some jumpsuits. I have a few plain tops which I'm wearing underneath sweatshirts, a hoodie or a fluffier jumper depending on the weather. I've just ordered myself a lost stock box to mix it up a bit. I can't sit for ages on my laptops in jeans without feeling like I might cut off the blood supply to my legs so prefer leggings.

nancybotwinbloom · 15/07/2020 14:42

Jeans mostly with vest and cardigans, shirts not tucked in, jumper shirts, dresses I never normally wear and Gym gear

Snorlax86 · 15/07/2020 15:09

Gosh I feel like I should be making more of an effort now! I’ve been living in leggings and t-shirts and if I have meetings just put a blouse/shirt on instead of t-shirts, whilst still wearing leggings. When the weather is warm I occasionally put a dress on, but mostly have been wearing loose comfy clothes!

nancybotwinbloom · 15/07/2020 15:21

I haven't blow dried my hair since February though! I've just let it dry curly.
Or put on make up! Except eyebrows.

fatgirlslimmer · 15/07/2020 15:24

PJ’s or short strappy night dresses, if not yoga pants and tops. Dresses for meetings that matter and sometimes all three variations in a day. I am showered with clean hair though, I have been shocked by some of the images I have seen on screen over the last few months Grin

titsbumfannythelot · 16/07/2020 07:30

I've put makeup on every day this week. I wonder how long that'll last 😂

Thanks for the suggestions/ ideas.

I’ve been WFH since March and this is likely to be the new normal for me. I like to maintain a routine and my alarm goes off at 7am every weekday, I shower, do my hair and make up, apply perfume and earrings, but wear something comfy like Next joggers and a vest top - something bright, modern and casual. I can’t sit in jeans all day, but want to feel presentable because it makes me feel better.

shewhomustbeEbayed · 19/07/2020 19:39

Smart black jeans and a Mistral stretchy cotton tunic jazzed up with a scarf and a cardi if cold.

Viletta · 19/07/2020 21:49

Unfastened Shirt on top of a t-shirt or a dress for video calls

getoffnow · 19/07/2020 22:39

Jersey dresses but I'm on video calls several times a day

Mostly from Joanie Clothing

I’ve been doing hair and makeup as normal, but wearing the sort of thing I would usually wear to eg meet a friend for lunch rather than for being in actual work. So jeans, or culottes, t-shirts, cardigans, trainers, midi dresses, or midi skirts.

At the beginning of lockdown I realised my mental health would suffer if I knocked about in joggers and no bra. Plus lots of video stuff!

Coffeepot72 · 20/07/2020 09:29

I also realised my mental health would suffer if I didn't keep myself looking presentable - I'm glad I've kept my routine going.
