Trainer socks that are high at the back?

I really like trainer socks that are as "invisible" as possible, but find that most are too low at the back and my trainers rub against my heel.

Are there any that come up high enough at the back to protect my heels, or do I have to just wear longer ankle socks?

These Nike ones look like they might do the trick - does anyone have these?

I have similar ones from asics. They are very good. Check out their outlet online.

And you can get much cheaper ones from amazon too.

I find mine fall down at the back when I walk, I have narrow heels and they are cheap ones from Sainsburys, do the sports brand ones tend to stay up better?

Lovely thick ones that stay up at the back can be bought from sweaty betty, excellent quality 👍🏻

Decathlon running socks are brilliant

Great tips everyone, thank you!

I found some by lululemon that looked promising but horribly expensive

I second the decathlon ones. Best trainer socks ever.

I live in trainers & have tried all sorts of socks but my ultimate favourites are the cushioned trainer socks from Primark. They come in packs of three & never fall down. Bargain at £2.50/£3 for three pairs. They sell arch support socks too which are good if you like thinner socks but the cushioned ones are more comfortable in my opinion.

I have some great sketchers ones I got in t k max. They are thicker than normal socks though, so no good if you hate hot feet.

H&M sportswear are great

I have the decathlon ones. They are fab.

I have the Nike socks and they come up high enough to protect the heels but I sometimes find they fall down when I run or exercise - it depends on the trainers I am wearing.
I have switched to stance socks, the ones with the tab and they are great. The cut is not as invisible as the Nike but they stay put!

Thanks everyone! Decathlon got multiple votes and are super-cheap so I've ordered them - will try some of the others if those don't work out.

I have Ellesse ones that don't fall down and my shoes don't rub against them, might be worth a try? Got them from Figleaves.

Frankiemintz · 22/07/2020 11:50

I’m trying to order the socks from decathlon website but it keeps saying there is an error on the form when I try to create an account. Did anyone else have this?

Got the decathlon ones and they are BRILLIANT - my daily walk is now BLISS! So cheap too - so glad I asked before shelling out for Nike or Sweaty Betty. Many thanks - I've bought 6 pairs!!

I got some from Amazon in the end, £15 for 10 pairs, low cut, fit well and silicone grips inside the back of the heel, they are super comfy and no slipping.
