Nail salons opened! Show me your nails

This is my first post lockdown nails. Please sure me yours

Gosh I am really humming and haaing about this.

I used to have my SNS nails done every 2 - 3 weeks religiously and loved them. However, after three months of no nails I am not sure if I will go back.

I am absolutely rubbish at doing them myself - just have a clear polish on them at the moment, but I am a bit at the money I used to spend on it.

Is everyone else going back?

I am sticking with pedicures but stopping manicures, my finger nails are much healthier now and it’s £48 saved too I guess.

I’d got stuck in the gel nail loop and 6 months off it has done wonders for mine. They’ve never looked better. I’m booked in for a file and polish on Saturday but I think I might not bother with the gels unless for Christmas or holidays.

However always up for some new manicure porn, so marking my place.

So just me who has picked around their nails so much during lockdown that I'm embarrassed to go to the nail salon? 🥴.
I previously had acrylics religiously every 3-4 weeks. My nails have eventually recovered and if only I could not pick them I probably wouldn't go back.

I was so happy to be back in the salon, and to be able to support them. The girls had done an amazingly job with masks, temperature checks, and a glass barrier thing. I’m so glad I can support their business again

My local nail place has just reopened, I am considering treating myself to a pedicure.

I can never decide on colours, what's popular for toenails?

I have been doing my own builder gels, I previously had acrylics for over 10 years. At first I thought I would never go back...however I am rubbish at doing my own and they only last week at best. Back to acrylics on Saturday and I cannot wait!

In the last week I’ve had my eyelashes put back on, eyebrows waxed and tinted, ped and mani - just hair to go now, booked for Saturday.
I know it’s shallow, first world etc etc but the difference these things make to how I feel about myself is huge. Plus we need to support these businesses to get back up and running, the staff depend on us!

My tech had a baby last month so I’m stuck. Don’t want to use another one. So plain beige for me, homemade! Cuticles are a mess though.
