Big toe nail gone yellow and hard !

Only this nail has gone a bit yellow , hard and has a ridge in it...other foot and nails all normal...have been using a nail oil but no difference... what is it ?? !! Looks a bit manky but no infection etc...

I'd get this moved to General Health- it sounds like a medical issue to me.

If it’s fungal the oil will actually feed it. You can buy otc anti fungal nail paints if your dr thinks it fungal.

How quickly has it happened? Has it grown through like that or has the yellow appeared from the free edge of the nail?

Sounds like fungal nail infection...does it have yellowish powder between the nail and nailbed?

Nurse neighbour said its fungal, have ordered some stuff to paint on and will use apple cider vinegar also....its going to take a long time...should have actioned this months ago...!!
