Massive pores 😭

Has anyone managed to help the appearance of their pores? My skin over the last two years has gone awful, huge pores on my chin and cheeks. It's probably my own fault I didn't really look after my skin, no cleaning routine etc, trying to work on that now, plus a crappy few years with illness and deaths in the family , which I've been really down about.
Can anyone give me a few pointers how to help, I'm not sure if my skin is dehydrated as it feels quite tight.

Whatever you do, don't squeeze them, it stretches them out. Use a skin-appropriate cleanser and a non-comodogenic moisturiser (one that doesn't block pores).

Toner can reduce the appearance of them, as can blurring make-up, but if you're after a longer lasting solution your best best is laser skin resurfacing.

Finally - literally NOBODY will be looking at them from 2 inches away, you are likely the only one that has ever noticed.

Thanks @HavelockVetinari I've started using an oil cleanser then hot cloth cleanser 🤷🏼‍♀️
What toner would you suggest?
Maybe not, but it really gets to me.

What's your skincare like?

In the am you need: vitamin c, spf

Pm: Niaciamide and alternate retinol and an acid.

This should help. The ordinary and Inkey have affordable skincare.

I found Paulas Choice 2% BHA helped with reducing my pores

@Aginplease - I have a similar issue, and the only time its ever improved is when I've stopped drinking for more than a couple of months. Nothing I've tried applying from the outside in works, but that does. Really well.

Probably pretty rubbish to be honest @ I'm late to the skincare party!
I've just bought niacinamide and I've bought the indeed retinol. I've just started using them at night. Also invested in a factor 50 for my face.
What acid would you suggest?

Thanks @Mumofone87, I'll have a look at that one.
@AthelstaneTheUnready, I don't really drink much, maybe 2 gins a week.
