Regatta Sizing

Hello,
I have done a search for this but the only other threads I could find are 6+ years old.

Has anyone bought a waterproof jacket from Regatta recently? I'm between sizes according to their chart but I know sometimes that jackets can be cut a bit bigger so I don't want to order the larger size if it's going to be huge on me.

Any advice is appreciated!

Ive just bought a Regatta jacket (Calderdale III) in a size 12 and it was cut fairly neat across the chest - I wouldnt have got away with a 10 which I sometimes can.

Is Trespass really that much better? I thought it would be similar to Regatta in quality

It comes up small

In my experience yes significantly.

Trespass ladies much better on the warmth front and also the wind and water proofing. windproofing can make a really big difference.

Peter storm the Pac a Mac jackets are better than both the other two, more comfortable to wear and pack it on their own pockets so no lost bags. The only Peter storm "coat" coat I had was a parka for DS (ebay bargain) it was properly beautiful. Breathable and light enough to be worn Wales mid summer, warm/windproof/waterproof enough to carry him through to winter. (Even when he was in wheelchair) I still mourn that coat.

If you want down puffer neither of them though. Tog 24 (lightweight packable down) and mountain warehouse (proper winter coat)

Thanks so much, that's really helpful info! I'll check out Trespass and Peter Storm then! It's a lightweight waterproof jacket I'm after for the warmer months
