Home dermaplaning

I've got a very fluffy face! I always have had but it's getting worse as I get older. I've seen adverts on Facebook for at home dermaplaning blades which look great on the before and after photos but my biggest concern is that I don't want to end up with stubble! At the moment the hair is very light coloured and fine. Anyone share experience of this? TIA

I use the Superdrug £3 pack of 3 and I think they're great. It's made a huge difference

I got some of these two months ago and think its fab. No stubble yet Grin. I read somewhere that you should only do it once a month so I've done it twice so far x

Ooh I'm so intrigued by this. What difference has it made?

Popc0rn · 11/07/2020 11:03

It just slowly grows back as the same fuzz. I do mine every month or so, started with eyebrow razors (which I got from tesco, £3 for 3), then bought a fancy veet thing. Tbh there's not really any difference between the two. The veet facial oil is good though:

www.boots.com/veet-miraculous-oil-pre-post-hair-removal-100ml-10268730?cm_mmc=bmm-buk-google-ppc--PLAs--(GB:Whoop!)+Veet-_-(GB:Whoop!)+No+Custom+Label+-+Mobile&gclsrc=aw.ds&gclid=CjwKCAjwxqX4BRBhEiwAYtJX7S64_74IlDAMvQKYfMoxCsmta2NDY2Hh9RsN8eVApjAm-MKxQkHmyhoCkPEQAvD_BwE

I've done it on dry skin (ouch!), wet skin (felt weird), with coconut oil (better), but the veet oil is the best. You can put it on afterwards too. Best to do it in the evening so your face can calm down before the next day.

@HollyBollyBooBoo it exfoliates and gets rid of the "peach fuzz", just makes your skin look a bit brighter and fresher. My boyfriend has commented a few times that my skin looks really good and "fresh" after I've done it (he has no idea that I do it).

Is it easier enough to do, I'm worried I'm going to cut myself!

JazzaGal · 11/07/2020 15:09

I do it every month or so. I've never cut myself because the blade isn't that sharp.

Thanks everyone! I think I'm going to give it a go, bought the veet oil today and I'm ordering a blade 🤞

I just shave my whole face with normal razors. It's safer too and does the job of de fuzzing. Make up applies like a dream too afterwards.

I bought actual scalpels on amazon 😬
