Warm caravan / outdoor clothes

We've just took the plunge and bought a tourer caravan. I envisage a lot of outdoors sitting and walking and I am most definitely a cold person (I wear a vest in summer Grin) Looking for recommendations please on non bulky but warm clothes and a decent coat that looks nice but is warm and practical too.

I suspect layers are the way forward, and as much as i'd love sunshine caravan breaks I am realistic in my expectations!

Also for the same for the kids as well...

We discovered last weekend that our new van is really warm, much warmer than expected (was windy and raining on our field in Norfolk). Anyway, I digress...

Uniqlo for gillet and jacket- the light down ones, they also do fleece lined trousers in winter usually. I get thermal leggings from Aldi. Avoid jeans as they’re a pain to get dry.

Depends what you are doing when you are in the van. You do need layers and a down jacket for sitting out. I have hoody's and a down jacket to keep warm just with jeans. Also think about shoes. You need to be able to kick them off at the door. I have flip flops but I see people with fur lined crocs for colder weather. I'd never wear them normally but it's a different game. Also a nice fleece or something to throw over pyjamas to sit out in the morning without having to get changed
