Culottes when you are short and not thin

I'm 4ft 11 and size 12 -14 hourglass shape. I really fancy some culottes but suspect they may make me look like a weeble. Is anyone of a similar shape wearing them?

I have a cropped pair, but As I'm short, I had to get them taken up.

I have to wear mine with heels and a fitted top, otherwise they don't look right, but I'm an inverted triangle so they do work for my shape anyway.
