Culottes when you are short and not thin

I'm 4ft 11 and size 12 -14 hourglass shape. I really fancy some culottes but suspect they may make me look like a weeble. Is anyone of a similar shape wearing them?

No, I’m 5,3 and weigh 9 stone, size 8-10 and I won’t go there.

If you have a small waist I think they can be v flattering, I’m 5 ft 2 and currently 10 stone, dieting down to 8.7 which is my usual weight, I have a small waist and big arse and hips and it disguises my bulky bits as they’re wide legged anyway.

I do have a navy blue linen pair from Boden that are just about ankle length and I think they look nice

My tiny boss used to wear them and made them look good. But she was skinny as a bean.

I'm 5ft 7 and size 14 to 16. They don't work. Partly because I have short legs and long waist.

Barrel that's weird I'm the same height but size 18 and I think they look good on me. But I'm the opposite to you short waist and long legs

I do have long legs and a short torso but I can't tuck tops in as I have a bit of a low-slung c-section tummy. I think they look OK with a fairly fitted top untucked but all the images of people styling them on pinterest have tops tucked in and very flat stomachs.

I'm 5ft 3 9 stone 10 to 12, I have got a couple of pairs but only wear them in winter with long boots under,
I'm selling some summer ones on ebay as I feel they don't suit me with flat sandals, maybe the secret with us shorties is to wear them quite long as just above or on the ankle as any shorter on me, make me look even shorter.

I think you’d have to get them tailored. At your height, culottes with fit you like full length trousers when they’re supposed to be cropped. It would probably look nicer if you get the lower leg tapered in a bit too, so they’re not extremely wide all the way down

I think culottes look great on the short of us. If they make you feel good they will look good :)
