Greying eyebrows?

Grandadwasthatyou · 09/07/2020 20:30

In mid 50's and have just spotted the first grey hair in my eyebrows.
What to do, what to do?
I have a few friends who have tattooed eyebrows, not for me I'm afraid. Same goes for eyebrow tinting as the result was too obvious despite choosing a lighter colour. My dc said what on earth have you done to your eyebrows?
I have been using Benefit brow tinted gel which I have quite liked. Unfortunately it must have rolled out of my make up bag either down the back of the settee or in the car as it is nowhere to be found.
Before I renew it suggestions please for any other eyebrow product which can hide the grey hairs? I refuse to have white eyebrows. Ok on lots of ladies but not for me.

Bumping for you, OP.

What eyebrow tint did you use? I have been using a kit at home and it's really good. I go for a light brown.

What is your natural colour?

Maybe your DC just weren't used to your eyebrows so thought it looked a bit different and were rude!
If you're already regularly wearing the Benefit thingy to cover greys I can't see that dying them would look very different. It would save you a lot of time. Maybe look online to see if you can find a light brown dye?

I use an Eyelure kit at home. It's super easy and looks great. But I am dark haired and use dark brown dye so don't have the issue with the colour being too dark.

I'm not sure what eyebrow tint was used as had it done in a salon. I asked for light brown as have blonde hair but I just didn't think it suited me.

I dyed mine at home - amazing. I greys and they look thicker and not even slightly slug like.

I went mad they dyed my eye lashes and then permed them too - result!

I’m sure you can find a brow tint that matches your natural colour. Brow tints can be tricky as leaving it on for too long (as in 30 seconds over) will make them too dark, but they should fade in time.

I use Nice n Easy root touch up in Dark Blonde (ignoring the instructions not to use other than on roots!) and it's fine.
It is very scary as despite being Dark Blonde, as it develops, i do look like Groucho Marx, and there is always a couple of seconds panic when I'm convinced it's not going to wipe off, but so far no problems.
It doesn't stain the skin

I use henna there are lots of different shades maybe you just need to try a different shade? And stress to the person doing it, you want a subtle difference!

Light brown tint is often quite gingery.

Try a dark ash blonde tint, it will look more natural if you're a blonde.
