I've gotten this far without one but should I start?
I have naturally balanced skin so don't need to combat oil or dryness and I only wear makeup going out (which I forget to remove Blush) it's just never occurred to me to do anything to it until now.

I've used water only my whole life. Mid 50s now and skin not bad. Not especially wrinkly. It may be my skin type, so that may be something to consider.

@SuddenArborealStop I'm similar age and also clueless. Sali Hughes pretty honest book and Caroline hirons book really helped me recently, explains everything in detail and simply

I should say, I've been following an actual routine for a few weeks now and have had a few compliments already and have noticed a huge difference in my skin (which wasn't bad to begin with!)

I’ve added the ordinary Niacinamide serum, glycolic acid, salicylic mask and rose hip seed oil to my basic regime and I’ve seen results really quickly

I'm 38 and wash my face with the same (lidl) showed gel i used to wash my body. Then a bit of nivea moisturiser if i think of it. Very interested in the logistics of these skincare routines.

I'm confused how you can wear both makeup and SPF? If you have a lovely face of nicely applied makeup surely you can't smear factor 50 over it 2 hours later? Doesn't that wreck the makeup?
