What's your go to pinky nude nail colour?

Looking for something quite neutral and understated for every day to make me feel a bit more put together but everything I've tried so far is too nude so I look like I have corpse hands, or too pink so it's more of a brighter baby pink.

Any suggestions? Something that doesn't chip easily would also be amazing!

Maybelline Porcelain is nice. It's also slightly iridescent so looks different when you move your hands.

Found a bottle in my nail polish stash. For some reason I've never worn it. Possibly too pearly for me (for everday) although very similar to the one I wore for my wedding.

I see what you mean about it looking different when you move your hands or in different lights.

I like the look of the Sally Hansen Shell We Dance and I have miracle cure, love the idea of using it as a base.

I really like the look of Maybelline porcelain, I think maybe nudes look a bit flat on me so a bit of interest would work better

Didn't expect so many replies, this is great!
Now I just need to work out how to paint my nails like a pro 😆

Maybelline Porcelaine in daylight (outside). The way the colour changes is like watching telly!

I like Essie.
My favourite nude is Ballet Slippers, like her Maj
I also like one that’s a bit browner but I can’t remember what it’s called. Sounds awful but it’s very nice.

Of the 'famous' Essie polishes, I find Vanity Fairest much, MUCH easier to apply than Ballet Slippers (which can have a tendency to go a bit streaky/gloopy if you're not very careful). Both last better with a coat of Seche Vite or Sally Hansen InstaShine top coat (much the same performance but about half the price of Seche Vite).

I'm a very pale but very freckly skinned person who makes most things read a bit 'warm' when on, even the allegedly cooler toned products. I've had some success with layering polishes, particularly the semi-sheer natural or 'French' shades.

Essie mademoiselle is my favourite. I’ve been using it for more than a decade, bought it before you could even get Essie in UK. I’m fair skinned. I also find baller slippers a bit white and spaghetti strap not quite right. I dont think I’ve tried sugar daddy.

Essie Ballet Slippers. Goes with everything and if you chip the polish it doesn’t stand out too much.

I like the Barry M mani mask - two different shades, dries semi matte. It’s sheer, so keepers your natural colouring - looks like frosted glass. Looks like have made an effort but very natural

Ahh great! I don't do much in the way of style or beauty but I do like a good nail varnish so I'm glad I could be helpful. Hope you like it. Grin

Not very pinky, but suits most skin tones and I think, is quite universal, Nails inc Porchester Square. Nails Inc make great polishes in my opinion....a little more pricey than some, but you do get what you pay for. I am pale skinned and neutral and this is one of the few neutrals I will wear. I’m normally a pink/ mauve purple woman.

I went out yesterday, intending to buy Rimmel English Rose, but ended up buying Rimmel New Romantic instead. The two shades are incredibly similar, but New Romantic was a touch less pink and I'm pleased to report it looks lovely when applied, just enough to look like I've made an effort in a subtle, polished way.
