T-Shirts for the busty?

MrsKingfisher · 07/07/2020 10:56

Where does everyone buy their t shirts if you are busty? I can often look like a box in most t shirts, I have some from M&S the relaxed ones which I quite like but only black white and a few dull colours. I want something exciting!

You could try Lands End and Uniqlo. The neckline makes a difference, and ones that skim rather than cling are best.

Neat sleeves rather than boxy ones, and ones that don't end at the same level as the bustline can help.

lockdownalli · 07/07/2020 17:06

I have the same issues.

V/scoop neck only. No horizontal stripes. No cap sleeves. No sleeveless.

I find a t shirt with a slightly puff sleeve helps to diminish the distracting dimensions of my norkage a little, but I am a size 34H so fairly extreme Blush

Phonelock · 07/07/2020 17:17

I'n not huge but relatively busty for my size and I find that unless they are stretchy they need to be altered to fit properly. Otherwise, there is too much material flapping under my bust.

BobbinThreadbare123 · 07/07/2020 17:27

Today's bra is a 32HH and I like Uniqlo for t shirts. Especially the supima cotton ones. Let's face it, if you've got more front than Blackpool you're not going to hide that! I do like a v neck; flattering.

morelikeaclubsandwich · 07/07/2020 20:19

Next sell some nice simple t shirts with a more relaxed neckline

Bargebill19 · 07/07/2020 20:33

Men’s polo shirts for me.

LajesticVantrashell · 08/07/2020 08:04

I second Lands End. I got mine from Amazon and they hang lovely (36E) and wash well. I've got a few from Gap too. It's crazy that it takes me months to find a simple t shirt!

QueenCT · 08/07/2020 08:41

I like gap modern v neck ones

isitstillockdown · 08/07/2020 09:02

I think it's the length of the sleeves .. don't have them line up with the girls
Bit longer would be my choice but I think either way better

Mens XL crew necks, from wherever that has good cotton material. Oversized and tied or tucked in at the waist.

Bravissimo now do clothing. I haven’t bought anything yet so can’t say if any good, but might be worth a look www.bravissimo.com/collections/all-clothing/

I'm a fan of Hush slub v necks! Got to be v neck though - scoop is tent-like

"My norkage" 😂😂
TesticleMeElmo · 08/07/2020 17:47

Ooh, I’m a 34HH and I have several with horizontal stripes Blush
I like Bravissimo for ‘nice’ tops personally (it’s always worth an eBay search for last seasons styles as well!) and I have some nice plain ones that skim past that are from George. Oasis also do some lovely floaty ones that I have in several colours.

Amiable · 08/07/2020 20:13

I am 34G and have a few of these:
www.amazon.co.uk/Womens-Oversized-Sleeve-Batwing-T-Shirt/dp/B01HOTHAZC?tag=mumsnetforu03-21

The sizing can be slightly different from colour to colour - they are made by a few different companies, but I have bought at least 5 in size 20 and they all fit. They are soft cotton, the colours are good, they wash well and I definitely recommend them.

I LOVE that they do them in loads of different colours!

princessbear80 · 08/07/2020 20:28

Agree that hush v-necks are good. But Peacocks v-necks are even better and about a quarter of the price!

Amaksy · 08/07/2020 20:58

Would be better to opt for men’s sizes

blondiepigtails · 08/07/2020 21:35

Bravissimo- checkout EBay. They do 3 sizes of curvy for each dress size.
A well fitting bra is essential. Too many women are in the wrong size. Look at Boob of Bust on Facebook for advice.
Avoid crew neck and shapeless and definitely not men’s t shirts.
M&S do fitted t- shirts as well as regular fit. I have boobs but a slim waist so look much better in a slimmer fit. I just go up a size for boob space.

Movistar · 08/07/2020 21:43

I’m a 34GG and just bought this - ivyt.co.uk/collections/short-sleeve/products/bea and it’s really flattering - and like the idea of supporting small independent stores just now.

Iusedtosleepbeforehavingkids · 08/07/2020 23:19

Bravissimo do clothes specifically for the larger bust. Otherwise I also find boden good, lots of colourful prints and I don’t have any trouble getting my 34gg check into them

Love batwing but their reviews aren't great, how's the quality?
