Good quality, ethical brands

My wardrobe is in dire need of a revamp. Particularly my work clothes.

Where do you all find nice, well fitting, not horrendously expensive (I think I'd pay up to about £80 for a work dress to last, possibly higher), work clothes?

I'm a nice dress with tights and flats kind of person in the office. I don't really wear trousers for work.

TIA

Depends what you mean by ethical... there are various ways of measuring that, from type/means of production of fabric to garment workers' wages, to air miles. At that price point you're most likely looking at sales purchases for most of the brands whose supply lines are transparent and deal fairly with the workers who make the clothes.

As a jumping-off point, I suggest:

Baukjen (will stretch your budget but sounds like the sort of clothes you're looking for, and making great strides in sustainability)
People Tree (a real pioneer in this area)
Community Clothing (for the minimalist crowd, made in the UK)
Kemi Telford (not very worky but beautiful clothes)

That's off the top of my head. Others will have more suggestions I'm sure!

I like dresses and tights for work too.
My favourite dresses are from:

Winser London (via sales or eBay)
Kettlewell Colours
Baukjen (via sales or eBay)
Boden (sale, but they often have them)
Bravissimo
