How often do you declutter your toddlers clothes?

So for example you buy ages 3-4 for your 3 year old. Do you make them wear it throughout the whole year or get rid once it's showing wear? I'm just a little annoyed that my daughter got some really nice dresses from Morrison's brand Nutmeg and one of them only lasted 2 months with her wearing it around 11 times. It started to look scruffy (tshirt material). When do you get rid of your child's clothes? And how often do you buy them?

If they start to look scruffy but still wearable I keep it for home when playing in the garden or for nursery where it wont matter if it gets paint or holes etc.

If it gets holey but can be mended (holes in leggings ..turn them into shorts) then I send it to clothes recycling or use it for cleaning cloths etc

I am annoyed at jo jo mama babe, I bought a pair of leggings from them and after 2 washes they started to really fade and bobble. My dd still wears them because they arent too bad but still annoying.

Starting to realise why my mum only ever bought me cheap clothes for every day and then the odd nice dress or outfit for parties 🙈

I only get rid if they're absolutely embarrassingly ruined and can't be saved for another child. If they're too small they go in the loft as we may have DC2 sometime who may wear it. DD is at nursery PT so I mostly keep a particular set of clothes just for that that she doesn't wear on other days because that all gets ruined, stains that just will not come off etc. We've had loads of hand me downs so she mostly wears hand me downs to nursery and then her new clothes on the other days.

If its stained then I'd get rid of except for my weaning babies and then I don't care, it's not like we go out. Holes etc the same. If it starts showing wear I'd just keep it for home as they grow out of it soon enough.
Once they've outgrown say 80% of a size ill put it all up to the next one.
Outgrown DS clothes went for next baby, the twins will be sold, passed on and donated

I "sort" stuff as I'm folding it once its been washed. Anything too small goes in the bag for my niece, anything horrendously stained or holey goes in the rag bag. I keep the bags by the tumble dryer (they hang on hooks above it), once they're full they get passed on (rag bag goes to charity for selling) and I start again.
Faded, bobbly etc doesn't bother me too much, they become play clothes. As long as they're clean and fit.
