Tretinoin Vs Adapalene (differin)

Hey,

Has anyone used both and have one which they prefer? I’m currently using 0.1 adapalene but I’m thinking of switching to tretinoin.

For acne or ageing?
I've used Differin for years for acne. Its effective for that. I switched to tretinoin when lockdown started and IMO the two arent comparable. My skin is SO much brighter and better with tretinoin.

Having said that tho, I never got any irritation or redness or peeling from differin - but the peeling with tretinoin is still going on for me after 3 months of use. It isn't awful tho, and the results are worth it.

That’s what I thought- there’s more chance of irritation with tretinoin. It’s for ageing and acne really. What percentage do you use? Did you get it via dermatica? Xx

No, I bought mine over the Internet from a pharmacy site abroad. I've got all 3 strengths and am currently alternating between 0.1 and 0.025. It isnt causing irritation or soreness, just some mild peeling which I try to leave alone. The peeling isn't sore, its more like when you get glue on your finger and perl it away if that makes sense. It has definitely made me more glowy and my skin is more even. My acne is reasonably well controlled now so not sure i can tell whether its better for that but certainly for looking fresher its way better.
