Smart walking boots--show me yours

I wear my wellies most of the time for school runs and walks in the park but would like smart waterproof walking boots. Any ideas? Budget isn't an issue and would pay more for durable comfortable boots.

I have some brown leather ones. Loads of brands do them.

Which are good though? I saw toast had some-are they comfortable?

Mine aren't walking boots but they are calf height Clark's gore-tex boots. They have been perfect for very wet school runs! Cost around £100 x

I can't see any on the clarks site.
Does anybody think hunters are good? I'll upgrade from my aldi wellies!

Well, you seem confused between walking boots, fashion boots and wellies. Hunters are just wellies (and no, they're not good now, if you want good wellies look at Aigle of Muckboot).

For actual walking boots it's best to go to a good shop and get them properly fitted to your type of feet and what you want them for. Mine are Scarpa.

For just leather lace up boots - any brand I guess.

These from Merrell look good, and would also be comfy and waterproof.
Or you could get some Country Boots, much more supportive than wellies, not cheap but there's a mixture of prices and ranges. I have Toggis.

Depends what kind of boots you are after. I have a pair of timberlands which are amazing, warm, dry and sturdy. They come in a variety of colors as well, and look great in my opinion. Or I have a pair of Dunlop blizzard fleece lined wellies which are amazing too, soft inside and very warm and dry,, you can get them on amazon.

I have Ecco gore tex black leather boots which were about £60 down from about £120 on Amazon and they're good for going around town when it's wet, to the park etc but they're not walking boots in the sense of going up mountains!

Yes sorry all. @VanGoghsDog yes you're right I don't mean walking hiking boots.
@baumwolle I like the sound of those. Casual waterproof boots.
@katmarie are your timberlands comfortable? I didn't realize they are waterproof and have always liked the look of them too.

They are comfortable, although they aren't the lightest pair of boots in the world. They take a bit of wearing in to soften them up a bit, but feel like they will last forever. They come water resistant and you can buy kits to further waterproof them if you want to.
