Jeffree Star Redrum, anyone know where I can get it!?

Long shot but does anybody know a Uk stockist that isn’t beauty bay for this? It’s continuously out of stock! I signed up for the email alert months ago and I’ve been checking but no luck.
Failing that anybody know a good dupe?

I recommend velvet ribbon from Lisa Eldridge. It's not a dupe, it's much much better and totally worth the price (I have both and redrum was a waste of money).

BabyPigeon thank you! That colour is beautiful and exactly what I’m after. What’s the staying power like? I usually go for liquid lipsticks because bullet lipsticks tend to smudge on me.

I can also recommend velvet ribbon. Much better and it means your money won’t go towards supporting a racist misogynist

Does it have to be a UK stockist? I’ve ordered directly from Jeffree Star Cosmetics and was impressed with the ease of it. Beautylish also ship to the UK but I haven’t used them before, very well rated by others though.

There’s a couple of dupes on Temptalia, might be worth checking out.

@Passmethechocolatecake his vile history is well documented online. A number of his pallets have recently been pulled from the shelves. There’s video of him calling people the n word and threatening to stab a woman. Not having a dig btw, I’m more than happy to recommend dupes for his products as he’s truly awful

@Passmethechocolatecake I actually have redrum in a normal bullet lipstick, I think it's called lip ammunition. I had no idea you meant the liquid lipstick. As for velvet ribbon it's the best red lipstick formula I ever tried. The formula is hard to explain, it stays put but it's not matte, it catches the light in a subtle way. The main thing is that it wears off in a flattering way. It barely wears off after eating and drinking and it still looked good after. I wish Lisa Eldridge will release a full makeup line because what she released so far is very high quality.
Off topic, jefree star is in the middle of yet another scandal at the moment, he is always in some drama but this time a number of YouTube content creators are admitting they are scared of him. Based on his past actions he is a very problematic individual that does not seem to grow and improve as a person, but of course this has nothing to do with makeup.

@BabyPigeon it might not have anything to do with the makeup but purchasing his items is still putting money in his pocket and I’m sorry to say he doesn’t deserve a single penny. There are plenty of other reputable brands to purchase from.

Can i ask re Velvet Ribbon - would people say it suits warm or cool skin tones? (Is it a blue red or an orange red). I've bought so many reds that have been wrong for my cool skin tone...

@Ifonlyiweretaller I think velvet ribbon is meant to be neutral red, leaning on cold. There is a warmer red in the range called velvet morning, which suits me better because I have a warm skin undertone. There is also a deeper darker red called velvet jazz. But from all 3 of them , velvet ribbon is the classic neural red.

One thing about Lisa's lipsticks, they are not a permanent line, I believe she self funds so she releases them in limited batches once or twice a year. She will always announce when a restock is due (on Instagram and her newsletter).

@Ifonlyiweretaller Oh that is a beautiful pink with a different formula, more shiny and mosturising. It's good for day to day I almost used mine up entirely.

It has everything to do with makeup, so thank you for mentioning the current controversy around Jeffree Star. No make up item is worth overlooking countless acts of racism, misogyny, or glorification of the Nazis. I couldn't overlook that for some eyeshadow or a lipstick. JS is a vile human being. No matter what he does, it soon gets forgotten. I am baffled that he gets away with it every time.

I’m really excited to try the Lisa Eldridge one. I’ve been looking at swatches and the colour is exactly what I’m looking for. I’m also pleased that it was mentioned they wear off well. I’ve never found a red lipstick that doesn’t leave me with that dreaded ring around the lips look!

I’ll give Jeffree Star a wide berth from now on. I’ve only bought his stuff as gifts before now but I’ve been recommended Redrum so many times I thought I’d give it a go. If the internet is anything to go by I don’t want to be giving money to his company so I’ll steer clear.
