Best moisturiser with SPF?

Decided it's time to invest in a good moisturiser with SPF for daily wear. My current skincare routine only involves Simple cleanser and moisturiser twice a day and not drinking enough water Grin I'm almost 31 with fairly normal skin, if a little dry occasionally.

I know you're all gurus so thought I'd ask for tips!

You need a proper sunblock, the spf in moisturiser doesn’t provide enough mg per sq cm to be effective.

I use superdrug solait spf 30 every day on my face, neck and chest. I’m not going anywhere today but I’m wearing spf.

@Fluffycloudland77 thanks! So do you put sun block on and then your usual moisturiser?

Always moisturiser first, give it a few minutes to absorb, then sunblock.

If it pills up on your skin the layer beneath didn’t have time to absorb.

Yy to a proper sunblock.

I use purito spf50 which I love but it ships from abroad and takes a while to arrive. You can get it from a site called yes style. I apply it after my moisturiser and usually blend it a little with a light foundation to get a tinted sunscreen. Not sure if I should be doing that but it seems to be working!

Clinique city block which comes in spf25 and spf40 and is tinted is also good. Always use it on holiday and never burn.

Apply your moisturiser, go get dressed then you'll be ready for the sunscreen!

Another one who uses a proper sunscreen every day. I use my moisturiser, wait a couple of mins and then sunscreen on top. Using a NUXE one at the mo (the face and body one as you get much more than the specific face one). It’s lovely and doesn’t clog my pores but it probably a bit too glowy if you prefer a matte finish. It works well as a primer for my makeup too.

Always use a separate sunblock in addition

I use Dr. Hauschka face oil or if I am really dry, La Roche Posay moisturiser, let them absorb, then I apply Piz Buin Allergy Face SPF 30 (this is an excellent UVA/UVB block and it smells so good. It's not heavy).

Simple do a spf30 booster, which Sali Hughes recommended recently. You can put a layer either under or over your regular moisturiser (or I assume add a few drops to the moisturiser). I thought it looked like it might be a bit greasy but bought some anyway as it was only a few quid - but actually it's really comfortable, I'm impressed.

Definitely a facial SPF and a moisturiser.
La Roche Posay Anthelios is a great SPF and works really nicely under makeup.

La Roche Posay also do a spray facial SPF that is great for over makeup for throughout the day top ups.

This may be a silly question - does wearing a high spf under makeup daily allow you to get adequate vitamin D still? I've just started doing this (spf 50 as it's been hot) but then worried about the vit D!
