Expensive beauty products/treatments that don't work

What have you spent £££ on that doesn't work?

Masks, serums, creams, primers, salon treatments, skin supplements etc.

For example, Profhilo. I nearly went for this, until I read Mumsnetter experiences of it not working. Just cancelled my appointment and saved myself a fortune!

TK Maxx were flogging off some of that N Perricone Cold Plasma (???? As if it were a supercooled gas, not a face cream!) for £30 last year. I bought some because it’s normally ~ £120 in Space NK.

What a load of rubbish! Smelled horrible, like rabid fish food, and did not make any difference.

RANCID not rabid!

@Iamthewombat

RANCID not rabid!
Ha! That sounds like the kind of 'bargain' I would fall for.

I have a graveyard of the stuff.

This isn't particularly expensive but everyone I know is raving about the body shop skin peels. I have about 5 fb friends flogging it at the moment and doing live videos of this wonder product that visibly removes dead skin. It's quite obvious that it isn't dead skin, it's just the product clumping....
