Low maintenance alternative to highlights?

I have had my hair highlighted for around 9 years, I love the look and how bright it is, but I hate how high maintenance they are - they grow out and I have roots within a few weeks.

I tried balayage instead of highlights for my last appointment, and I wasn’t blown away by the results. I like that the transition from blonde to my natural hair colour is softer, but my hair naturally goes blonde in the sun anyway so I want something a bit brighter, ideally with more bright blonde around my face and at the front of my hair.

Has anyone found a good alternative to highlights? Smile

I usually have a balayage but I like it quite bright like you so my hairdresser blends it higher at the front with a couple different colours. Maybe just explain exactly what you are looking for and they will do it just fine I’m sure! I only need mine done every 4-5 months, saves so much time and money.
