Clothes shopping under Covid.

So this is my second go, but I realise that this applies to all clothes shopping, so. Last week I bought a top in Klass, having obviously been unable to try it on. Took it back as it was too clingy on it, and although I could wear it ok when I've dropped a couple of pounds, I want something I can wear now. So, I didn't just want to ask for my money back, support businesses, all that, and swopped for a pair of cropped/trouser/leggings with lacework detail. Either I'm a very weird shape or they are! They kind of fit where they touch, as my old Nan would have said. Too big round the top, emphasise my fat knees, and yet too big round the calves. So much of their stuff is sweaty polyester too. I'll have to take these back too, and it's not a short journey. Stupidly, I could have bought them, tried them on in the shopping centre loos, then taken them back, which kind of defeats the object of not being able to try on in shops! I can see me not buying anything for the forseeable future, or just shopping online. Any one else been similarly frustrated, at Klass or anywhere else?

No one cares about my lock-down wardrobe! ;)

Feel your pain! It is massively frustrating not being able to try anything on in a shop (although I totally get the reason why you can't!)

I chucked out most of my summer clothes last year and have bitterly regretted it!! Nothing I've bought online has been successful and yes, everything seems to be polyester or a cheap mix of fabrics!

At least we've been back to jumpers and jeans this week - I have plenty of those Grin

I’m not even bothering shopping in actual shops. If I can’t try something on I might as well buy online which is frustrating but at least only involves a local trip to the post office to return items instead of a bus journey into town and queues to get into shops and at tills. Out of loads of orders I’ve kept 4 vest tops and two jumpsuits.

Yes, the good news is that I've saved money! I bought a linen dress from M & S a few weeks ago in the sale, but that turned out to be a slightly odd fit. I haven't returned it because cba and my summer wardrobe is really limited. Had I read the online reviews that would have told me that other people have found the fit weird also, and it isn't just weirdly shaped middle aged me! 😁
