Sorry I know this has been done to death but Philips Lumea

Sorry I know there's lots of threads about this but I'm considering getting one for my bikini area only. I'm blonde with fair skin and the hairs on my face and underarms are blonde. My bikini area hairs are darker though (mid brown) and I think my leg hairs are dark but to be honest I never let them grow long enough to check!
Do you think the Lumea is a waste of money for one, possibly two areas? And if not which one is best?

I think it's fine if you have low to moderate expectations. It isn't really permanent , I felt it took ages to do, the actual IPL light surface area compared to the surface area of 1 leg is quite a lot! and you have to shave to do it properly anyway which I found inconvenient (shaving rash etc). Plus it does sting and is most definitely not for use anywhere near the labia, vagina or anus.

I believe it works best on fairer skin with dark hair (what I have) and I still didn't get great results although it did reduce the amount of regrowth over time. Probably used it for 6 months then for fed up with the rigmarole and I just shave now anyway so apparently wasted my own time and money!

Can anyone advise which model to buy? it's rather confusing as some cost £200 less than others but none of them are the same model so it's very hard to compare (I can't afford £400 but can possibly afford £230 for the BR1920 for example)
I'm fair with dark hair and mainly want to treat legs, but also bikini line. Does it really need to be the very latest model to work?

( @dontgobaconmyheart or maybe you'd like to sell yours? Grin )
