White canvas trainers

Are they as impractical as they seem? I've just bought these to wear with a dress or skirt in the hot weather. I love the way they look but is there really any point in keeping them as they're unlikely to stay that way for long? Anyone got any alternative footwear suggestions in a similar vein?!

I've got these; mine stay pretty white and when they're looking a bit dirty I wash them in the machine with some soda crystals and dry in the sun ... mine are still white

Easily machine washable, put them in a net bag to protect them and the machine. I wash all my fabric trainers all the time, including sports Nike/Adidas types. I keep the spin low and dry in the sun if possible.

Oooh, they are lovely! Are they soft and bendy in the sole? Very tempted!

Just seen it says 'do not machine wash'. I guess that means the glue will dissolve or go all yellow. had that happen before.

They are quite sturdy but still very supple. Oh I didn't see that about them not being machine washable. I think I'm going to risk it as other people have said they do and they are lovely!
