How accurate have you found Boob or Bust

Sat at work yesterday and my bra just felt so bloody uncomfortable constantly adjusting it so tried Boob or Bust and just can't imagine it could be right.

Was measured a good few years ago in M&S as 34B, BorB is saying 28F as a starting point?!

Going to order a few new bras today.

It's the 'hanging' measurement I don't get, I'm going to be upright whilst wearing my bra!

Pineapple - that’s a measure of the volume of boobage! Because you bend over to put the bra on and scoop all the breast tissue that falls under your armpits as well as the obvious bits up front, the bra needs to accommodate all of it, not just the bits you think of as your boobs.

What’s your dress size (if you don’t mind saying) at a 40” underbust measurement?

MarkRuffaloCrumble · 25/06/2020 13:11

I was wearing a 38DD. BOB measure me as a 34F but I tend to go 36E or EE depending on the style as I don’t like how tight the 34 band is, even with a big cup. Never had such well fitting bras before!

eurochick · 25/06/2020 13:12

I found the band sizing uncomfortably tight. It really didn't work for me. I soon went back to traditional sizing.

M&S are awful, I got told I was ' a 34AA and needed to shop in the training bra section', it looked so awful. I was actually a 30B. Sadly, now I've finished breast feeding my boobs have shrunk to nearly nothing.

il0vew1ne · 25/06/2020 13:32

i wear a 36b, have just done Boob and Bust and they say I am a 32e

could that be correct ?

MarkRuffaloCrumble · 25/06/2020 13:42

Yup! Sounds about right! Give it a go, it’ll change your life Grin

@MarkRuffaloCrumble I'm somewhere between an 18 and 22 depending on what shop. I was pleased I had the band size correct but my boobs are very bottom heavy so I don't think BoB works as well on that kind
Iwalkinmyclothing · 25/06/2020 13:47

How good is it for breasts that have lost a lot of top volume and gone a bit ski slopey?

dontgobaconmyheart · 25/06/2020 13:56

I didnt find it massively helpful personally. I don't think there should be any discomfort with a bra and I don't feel a need to have my boobs like higher or 'better' and suffer for the fact. Boob or bust is basically just smaller band size bigger cup size it seems like. Whereas in real life people often go up band sizes and so the bra is bigger and a 'smaller' cup 'fits' and lots of people seem to think anything bigger than a D in the cup size is huge. If you hold up a 34D in a shop and a 30f it is easy to see how sizing works.

If I wore the 30 band they suggest I would be in some discomfort. I think there is a lot of misconception about cup sizes equating to massive boobs that it is helpful to clear up and boob or bust helps with that. Mine are roughly a 30f as per boob or bust and they really aren't obscenely large to look at.

UncomfortableSilence · 25/06/2020 14:02

The back size for me sounds right, 34 is clearly too big, I have a small frame, but I do have small boobs, they are however full and have stood the test of time and kids in pertness so I will be really interested to see how these new bras fit.

I wear a 34 H, B&B wants me in a 32 K, but I am yet to buy bras in this size.
I suspect it might be right due to the Mark's from underwires from my bra, but it's so expensive to buy them

QueenCT · 25/06/2020 20:09

@Spaceprincess try brastop Smile

JaceLancs · 25/06/2020 21:24

I went from a 38d or dd to a 34f or g depending on style
The difficulty I have is shape - I don’t suit balcony or full cup and as I have a short torso anything other than a plunge style shows at neckline
Even in bravissimo I only get 2-3 style options

Justonedayatatime11 · 29/06/2020 20:02

Just jumping on here. I've been wearing a 32C for ages and in agony. I've just done boob or bust and it's put me at a 30DD! Is that possible?! I knew I'd put on some weight but that seems insane....

UncomfortableSilence · 29/06/2020 20:39

Just popping back with an update.

BorB put me at 28F, did not fit at all, cup huge and felt so tight, also ordered 30E, fitted better but not sure if it was the style but the bone just rubbed across my ribs so that's going back too.

So the hunt continues Grin

It probably is. It’s almost the sister size for a 32D which isn’t big at all!?
