Please help me find this exfoliating lotion (or equivalent)!

A few years ago I had a lovely pedicure. As part of the treatment, the beautician rubbed my damp legs with a lotion and all the dead skin rubbed off in little balls. I don't know what this treatment is called so I can't find it when I google - I've tried "scuffing lotion", "exfoliating lotion" but most of those have bits in them. The lotion the beautician used had no bits and just seemed to dissolve the dead skin. Any ideas?

Cure Natural Aqua Gel is the original product from Japan. I think they may go by peeling gels, possibly? It's speculated it's not actually dead skin at all that you're rubbing off but just a reaction within the formula. The beauty brains (a bunch of cosmetic scientists) devoted a whole podcast to it and weren't that convinced by it.
