Alternative to gel / acrylic nails

So I’ve developed an allergic reaction to both gel & acrylic nails.

Are my only options ‘normal’ polish or false nails?

I think there are a few places that do fibreglass nails however I'm not sure how easy that is to come by. Or whether there are any similar components to those in acrylic and gel that you might be allergic to

Is Shellac not gel? I always thought it was

What about polygel? It's not a traditional gel? Might be worth a go? Shellac is a power polish, it's not as strong as gel.

CND Vinylux is a traditional polish, well, kind of. You don’t use a basecoat and you have to use the Vinylux top coat but it is great, I get much better results with this compared to regular polish. I have really oily nail beds and normal polish just chips right off but Vinylux lasts for a good week on me.

Yay to CND vinylux too! It's been a revelation for me.
