WWYD bra wise for this dress?

I am planning on wearing a dress to a BBQ but am unsure what to wear bra wise.

This isn't the dress but the neckline is similar. My everyday bra is too bulky, you can see it at the side/armpit area. I have big boobs but could go braless, but it'd be nice to wear underwear especially for a nicer shape. Any ideas?

Jesus. Wear a bra. Either wear one obviously or a plain coloured one. Or get a crop top bralette to wear on the top
Or get a dress you don’t need to compromise on.

In my view, unless you are a flat chested woman, i dont see how you could wear it without giving everyone an eyeful. If you are bigger than a B cup these triangles might as well be nipple pasties.
If you must put a cami under it in a matching shade or even a white t shirt.

What about a triangle bikini top that's not halter neck? In a nice colour.

This looks like beachwear / nightwear to me personally. Agree with PP about a bikini top.

Sew cups into it - google sew in bra cups, or local dressmakers will have them

Depending on the fit and hold, I would be tempted to go braless; it’s summer and you are with friends, not going to work. Otherwise I’d go for a turquoise or a red bra as a contrast, where it is obviously meant to be seen. Avoid anything functional looking.

I wouldn't buy it as I'm an e cup but thats just me.I think I'd go for an obvious colorful bra rather than a neutral or white

Thanks ladies

I fear it’s a dress for a B cup or less!

Bluntness100 · 24/06/2020 11:06

Who is holding the bbq, if you’re big busted that’s going to be a bit of a show stopper. Nothing wrong with that but I’m not sure I’d be getting them out in front of my family or friends, but I’m relatively prudish like that. 🤣

LochJessMonster · 24/06/2020 11:13

That’s not a dress for women with big boobs I’m afraid.

It’s not designed to be worn with a bra and big boobs would look awful without one.

Sorry, you need a different dress.

MonsteraCheeseplant · 24/06/2020 11:59

Yeah it's not that dress and that is a far more exaggerated version of what I have. I just tried it with a strapless bra and it isn't visible which is good. You don't get the lift with straplesss bras though, you get squished.

I would wear a triangle bikini with that dress. I was a GG cup (28 back) before I got pregnant and a size 12/14 and the style looked fine. Only thing though is if you a lot of cleavage on display make sure the dress is a bit longer. I wouldn’t personally have tits and legs out at a bbq.

Apileofballyhoo · 24/06/2020 12:21

I'm glad it's not that actual dress...

StarlightLady · 24/06/2020 13:15

For me, strapless bras have a gravity problem. I’m better off sans bra than strapless.
