Morning all Smile
I’m after some inspiration please. I have a 2.5 year old, currently using a character backpack for his things but want to change it. What do you all use? Do you use a character/themed/children’s bag or do you something aimed more towards adults?
Before lockdown we were out every day at children’s classes/park/library/museum. The bag he has now has a bottle holder on the side which is handy.
Thanks all!

I just had a black backpack like this
www.amazon.co.uk/Lekesky-Rucksack-Computer-Backpack-Business-Grey/dp/B07S3F2ZZL?pf_rd_p=cd89c017-9abd-54bf-b3e7-ef1790b76a5d&th=1&pf_rd_r=9QN3YN7R47VP7MAJHQGQ&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-11&pf_rd_t=BROWSE&ref_=s9_apbd_omwf_hd_bw_b2syZmR&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&pf_rd_i=2644625031
which had a cupholder at the side. The ones aimed towards adults typically have more space than the character ones

I looked at one similar to that in the Joules sale the other day which got me thinking should I just use a bag aimed at adults rather than a child, so thought I’d ask on here :)
He will be starting nursery next year, do I send him in with a kids bag then? Sorry to sound silly!!

don't worry! I sent mine in with a kath kidston kids backpack, like this one (currently in the sale):
www.cathkidston.com/en-gb/sale/shop-by-discount/just-added-to-sale/408823587366OYSTER_1.html
They have lasted ages and come with us on holiday each year (each dc brings their own bag onto the plane since it saves arguments), and can hold a jacket. I think we got them a medium one, although it could have been one of the kids ones? You will need to check the dimensions on the website.

@sleepismysuperpower1 that is very cute! I really like the look of the joules rubber backpacks for children as well.
So it sounds like I’m better off with an adult one for now and then a ‘children’s’ one when he goes to nursery.

that is what I did, yes. Adult one for day trips so I can shove everything in one bag, and then kids one when they are taking their own things into nursery

I like that padded bag you have linked to, thank you. I don’t suppose you know of any brands/shops that sell them that I can look at in real life? I’m struggling to know what to type into google. Those Fjallraven bags keep coming up but they look very thin.

I don't, sorry! I think it has free returns from amazon though, so you could always order it and if you don't like it, just drop it round to the post office for a refund x

Bumping to get other recommendations please :)
