Babyliss big hair - should I get one?

I’m growing out a very short bob. It’s now about an inch past my jaw. My hair is ridiculously thin and fine. Each strand is barely visible but I have enough of it to grow it to collar bone length I think. I’ve been looking at the Babyliss big hair and just can’t decide if getting one would safely give my hair more volume and if being slightly clumsy whether I’m going to end up with it stuck in my hair and wrecking it. If any of you have one would you recommend it.

No.

The rotation creates tension and that’s what you need for creating smooth hair

I’ve burnt out The motor on two babyliss now. Does work nicely on my thick hair but won’t bother replacing again. Was only using them about once every 3 or 4 weeks so not excessive over use.

I am useless with hair stuff, I always get sucked into buying a new gadget, the big hair is the best thing I have brought, so easy to use, and light. I would recommend.

Thanks LokisLover. I have been so set on Babyliss one or maybe the Revlon I’d not looked into other makes. Will go check out the reviews.

I used the Babyliss for years until it burnt out and I bought the Hot Tools Volumising brush from my hairdresser. It absolutely knocks spots off the BBH. Very powerful, fast-drying (I have thick hair) and I don't miss the revolving barrel at all. It's completely changed the look of my hair.

Meant to add, I believe the Hot Tools is very similar to the Revlon one.

I was a massive Big Hair fan but it did leave my hair quite stretched. The Revlon is much smoother and gentler on my hair.

I've got the Babyliss one. It's ok but results don't last long.

I'm also looking at the Revlon one, how does it differ?

Aliensrus · 23/06/2020 14:17

I tried the big hair a couple of years back and found it hard to use. Put it in a drawer and never used it again.
I got the revlon one step and love it, so easy to use, I prefer it to my dyson hairdryer.
I have fine frizzy hair.

I love my babyliss. Admittedly they only
Last a few years. Those who say it pulls their hair out, do you section it properly first? It achieves the closest thing to a salon blow dry for me and I have a lot of long thick hair. Also it's cheap when compared with anything Dyson.
