Long hair - condition, wash, condition?

Anyone tried this? I’ve done it three times in a row and think my hair is softer, shinier and swooshier. Despite worrying my fringe would look lank it’s bouncy and sitting better. Using my usual products but changed the method.

Who suggested this? Doesn’t the shampoo just wash off all of the first conditioner? It makes you use double the conditioner so will be costly long term but I will give it a go tomorrow.

It was on a forum for women with long hair. Mine was bra strap length but getting massive and due a trim so I thought I’d try and tame it. DH cut it last night and it’s much better but I’m sure the extra conditioning has helped.

I’m a novice but I think the idea is the first condition - from ears down - protects the lengths from stripping shampoo, I still wash my scalp with shampoo. And the second condition is root to tip which I’d never done before. Was v skeptical the first time but it washed out and the top was squeaky clean.

You’re right it uses a lot more conditioner but I bulk bought some when it was on offer on amazon a month ago so have plenty to play with.

Thanks for the further instructions, I only generally condition the ends so will see how I get on doing from root to tip for the last conditioner.
