Do I need hair rollers?

Will they magically transform my thin, scraggly locks to shiny, voluminous beautiful curls?

I watched the Jane McDonald cruise ship show last night which also got me thinking about heated rollers!

I've been using hot rollers for 30 years. I have the jumbo ones and they heat up very quickly. My hair is long and the rollers give a nice amount of body while making my hair smooth. They are also really easy to put on and I only have to leave them in for a few minutes.

Honestly, no.

Had my hair done years ago with an incredible stylist, he was unbelievably good considering he was a junior in training. He actually ended up becoming a famous celeb hair dresser. He used rollers as part of his technique, my hair looked amazing. I purchased rollers immediately to use the next time I washed my hair!

My hair looked naff after I used them. I just couldn’t master it after months of trying so they were a waste of money. You need to know how to use them effectively or else your hair will end up flat and kinky.

@Aquamarine1029 smooth sounds lovely. Do you put them in fully dry hair?

Yes, put them in fully dried hair. As for the previous poster saying your hair will turn out flat and kinky, that has never been my experience ever. I don't even see how kinky hair using hot rollers would even be possible. I do recommend you getting the jumbo/extra large rollers.

It takes me literally less than a minute to put my rollers in. Very easy.

I love rollers. I have heated rollers and Velcro rollers and babyliss big hair.

Really depends what look you want but yes I think if you have medium length hair or longer they can be brilliant.

MonsteraCheeseplant · 21/06/2020 21:23

Thank you, do you recommend that set @Aquamarine1029

I like them a lot. They heat up very, very quickly and are easy to secure with the clips. I've had several sets over the years and this set is definitely one of my favourites.

Just a lil bump

I think they're fool proof. I get a better result from heated rollers than from any other gadget (and I've tried most of them,).
