& Other Stories - sizing?

So inspired by another thread I looked at this label yesterday and saw a few lovely bits in the sale. Looking at the size guide though it seems I'm at the large end of the large size when normally I'm a 10/12 (I took my measurements as I instructed by the website).

Does anyone have any experience of them and if so, is their sizing very different to say, M and S?

If it's true to size and I'm indeed large that's fine, I was just surprised. Grin

I'd say it's true to size - but that M&S is big. I'm an 8 in M&S and an 8-10, more like 10 in Other Stories.

Thanks nan

I’m a UK 10 and buy a 36 or small in OS. I don’t shop in M&S other than plain knitwear but I think their sizes are cut very big.

HappyGirlNow · 21/06/2020 19:00

36 is a 10, 38 is a 12.

SirVixofVixHall · 21/06/2020 19:01

But the 38 often fits more like a ten, and the 40 like a 12.

SirVixofVixHall · 21/06/2020 19:02

If you are a 10-12 start with the 38, as that is most likely to fit you. Depending on the item you may need to size up or down.

I’m a small 10 on top and usually in their dresses I take a 36, as long as there’s enough room on the hips.
Skirts I take a 38, I’m a big 10, sometimes 12 on my hips. I find their skirts are cut quite neatly. But then I’m hippy so I may be a little subjective about that.
Jumpers, I take a S. Size XS is always a tad too small.
I find M&S sizes v big. I’m an 8-10 on the bottom half in M&S.

Jumpers, in &other stories I take a S. XS is always a tad too small.

I found it varies according to the atelier - the Swedish came out massive but the French was very small

HelloRose · 21/06/2020 20:35

I always take a size up in & Other Stories. I find the dresses too small in the bust region

lockdownalli · 21/06/2020 20:54

I am a 14 and buy 42.

Beachlovingirl · 21/06/2020 21:28

I take a size up on tops because they are very neat around the chest.

Thanks everyone for your replies, I'll have another look. It's free returns at least!
