I have been using this for the past few weeks. I think I may be over vigorous as when I use it on my nose to help remove the blackheads, I then end up with a dark scab on my nose.

Initially I panicked and thought it was my hyperpigmentation getting worse but it turns out it was a scab which then came off after a few days and there was bleeding and now it is the texture of skin when a burn scab peels off. Sorry this does sound disgusting but I don't know how else to describe it.

Is this normal or have I overdone it?

Yes, you have overdone it. Your skin should be pink after using it, as though you have a slight windburn.

They can be quite tricky as it's difficult to know how much pressure you should use, too much and you end up with scabs and scarring, which is the last thing you want.
