Skincare routine for the lazy, ageing & on a budget

I almost name changed for this! I'm embarrassed at my lack of skincare and how it is showing. I'm early 40s, overweight and have a lot of redness (probably rosacea). Am very prone to flushing and sunburn. Since hitting my 40s I can see sagging and lines as well as uneven skin tone.

I don't have any skincare routine other than make up remover and oil of play but I think it's time I started making in effort. It's just so daunting! I've joined the Nadine Baggott Facebook group and I've seen La Roche Posay Anti redness serum which looks affordable. I've read that retinol may not be good for my type of skin but I don't know where to start.

Can someone recommend a basic routine with products that aren't too expensive to ease me in gently because I really don't know where to start!!!
