Recommend a lovely face wash please

It's nearly my birthday and I've decided I want a daily face wash that feels like a treat.

I have normal to oily skin but mostly I want something I can use in the shower that doesn't foam or feel like a soap and smells lovely
Is there something like an oil or similar?

I like brands like clarins or Elemis for the scent but have never really bothered with expensive skin care before

I love Checks and Balances by Origins. It's not hugely expensive. A little goes a long way. It doesn't have a strong scent and leaves my skin feeling lovely and not tight.

You could try an Elemis cleansing balm, massage in and it rinses away clean leaving no residue. Or their gentle foaming facial wash is lovely, and doesn't actually foam! It's a rich lather rather than bubbles, if that makes sense. Very mild, won't strip the skin.

I have similar type of skin to you. I would recommend Clarins Cottonseed Gentle Foaming Facial Wash, but sorry, just realised you don't want a foaming one. Though I have used it and find it gentle for daily use.
Like @frugalkitty said, Elemis cleansing balm is lovely. I got the Rose one and just used this morn. It is great. It doesn't foam and is good on my combination skin. Works on oily patches and dehydrated areas. I only got it as a luxury trial size in an Elemis set I bought and pleasantly surprised and converter!!

P.S. La Roche Posay face cleanser in a blue pump bottle EFFLACLAR PURIFYING CLEANSING GEL works on my skin too. This doesn't foam and is formulated for combination, oily+normal skin. Smells nice and doesn't foam. Doesn't dry my face out. Pump bottle great in the shower. Link:

The la Roche one above is great for everyday but doesn't feel like a treat.

I love the smell of Clarins Shea non foaming, v indulgent and softening.
