Help! My jeans won’t stop falling down!

Hi, I’ve had this problem for a really long time. Whenever I wear jeans they always end up sliding down my bottom. And it’s not only jeans, it happens with leggings too. I’ve tried sizing down at least 3 times but nothing helps. I would rather not wear a belt because they’re very bulky. It happens every day, and I can’t go on living with having to pause everything every 5 minutes just to yank my jeans back up. It’s very embarrassing and I would like to put a stop to it, but I don’t know how. Please tell me what I can do. Blush Blush Blush

I personally use a belt

MashedPotatoBrainz · 19/06/2020 15:53

Do you need to go up a size?

Lougle · 19/06/2020 15:53

Perhaps your jeans are the wrong shape for you?

LinemanForTheCounty · 19/06/2020 15:55

Are you in Blazin' [sic] Squad?

Not all belts are bulky, you can get a thin one with a small buckle, I use this belt and it's not bulky and has a small buckle but keeps jeans up.

Re leggings, if going smaller hasn't helped have you tried going up a size? My leggings fall down when I put on weight because they're stretched too much over my hips and so slide down instead

Is wearing a belt really worse than having to stop and pull your jeans up every 5 minutes?

I’d look at different belt styles, they’re not all very bulky.

Do you have flat bum syndrome? I do and have always had this problem. High waisted seems to help as there's further to fall! Also jegging/tregging style bottoms are clingier and therefore stay up better I've found.

Get a thin belt

Multicoloured · 19/06/2020 16:37

buckleless belt

keepingbees · 19/06/2020 16:40

I only wear high waisted jeans now for this reason. Also wearing a long vest top under my top seems to help hold things up

I got a belt called Tights Up from Amazon, I saw it recommended on here. Absolutely amazing, it’s a belt but doesn’t add bulk at all. I have to go up a size in jeans to fit my sizeable bum and then the waistband is way too loose. This solves all my problems.

PickAChew · 19/06/2020 19:04

That's what belts are for.

Pikachubaby · 19/06/2020 19:04

What’s your body shape?

BlitterBug · 19/06/2020 19:06

I had / have this problem. The buckle-less belt linked above is truly the answer. I hate proper belts, but that one is a completely different prospect.

MoltonSilver · 19/06/2020 19:12

Go for a higher rise waist and possibly a bigger size. Sizing down will make it worse.

HopeClearwater · 19/06/2020 19:17

That buckle-less belt from Amazon is rubbish. I had one. Just pulls the belt loops back. However they usually come with a metal ring to loop the ends round and that’s flatter than most buckles.
