Or from similar online marketplaces and apps?

A Joseph wool coat for £10.39 including the postage...I googled it £580 'new'. The one I have, worn once before I purchased it.

I would love a 'have you spotted this?' eBay thread to help each other out. I love a bargain, and actually I love the massive choice and sustainable elements of second hand or over makes.

A pair of Christian Louboutin Pigalle shoes in black patent leather, for £100, boxed and with dust bag. They retail at over £500. Not a mark on them. They were far too high for me and I never wore them, but I sold them on for double what I'd paid! Never repeated the success though.

A vintage Dior coat. It cost me £34 including shipping from US, sold it via a high end vintage clothing auction for thousands. I only bought it because I like the buttons and didn't realise it was an early Couture piece designed by Dior himself.

A really beautiful hand-embroidered Indian woollen shawl. Brand new with labels - apparently an ‘unwanted gift’. Mine for £1.49.

Honestly I don’t buy much from eBay! I’m not into 2nd hand items.

However over the years I’ve seen items come into trend and end up all over instagram, with fast fashion retailers like PLT, missguided etc picking them up at a ridiculous markup. Always check on eBay first because chances are you’ll find the exact same item/quality at a much lower price.
’s other things like bikinis, belts etc.

PLT were called out recently for selling an eBay branded sportswear collection at a v high markup. They got caught out because they left the eBay brand’s labels on and customers found the eBay listing, think there was a £20-£30 markup!
