Fashion instagrammers and crumpled sheets

Clearly lockdown fever has peaked and I am spending too much time on social media. But can anyone explain where the new trend of fashion instagrammers posing in front of crumpled sheets come from? It must be being copied from somewhere, but why? Maybe every now and again, but certain feeds have just become so boring and repetitive as a result.

I assume that they think it looks a bit arty/photo shoot reportage style 🙄🤦‍♀️ It doesn’t. It looks like a manky un-ironed bedsheet & is very distracting. I have noticed some brands are adopting a similar style on their websites too.

What PP said, plus I think the same background in lockdown is getting overdone. Selfies at home can get a bit boring I imagine. Whatever can be done to keep the audience!

It's because they can't travel to where all the

  1. pretty pink walls live
  2. beach huts live
  3. wisteria season is over (although lavender is around the corner)

EdinaMonsoon exactly it IS distracting when I imagine it is partly intended to be the opposite, to provide a black canvas. Yet it's becoming all I notice. I've actually muted a lot of accounts as a result of it, my feed was just so bland.

Maybe their houses aren't instagram worthy Sad

I imagine it's been copied from some uber cool and niche creative style agency, I'm just interested to know where.
