Revamp my skin routine!

Hi,

I'm 30 and my skin condition is dehydrated, prone to redness and fairly sensitive

After reading on here I added in nip&fab face pads (just the basic ones) and hyaluronic acid based serum

Currently use neutrogena hydro boost gel cleanser and their moisturiser plus the pads and serum

I just cannot get my skin hydrated enough. I drink plenty of water and am working on my diet.

Any recommendations of cheap products I can add/ replace? I also think I should be using some anti ageing products now as I've aged 10 years with two difficult babies (getting better now)

Open to natural remedies too

Please help!

I've recently started using avene products because my skin is very sensitive!!
I love them!

Also I've just ordered 'revolution hyaluronic acid serum 2%'
Because I've been recommended it,
Hoping it helps with my dry skin and general plumpness!

I'm 29 and this is the first actual skin care I've done,
Using a wetwipe will not do anymore 🙈

Thanks - my skin isn't dry on the surface but it's lacking in water, it feels tight and is prone redness as a result I think. Will check them out

Which Nip &Fab pads are you using?

Glycolic is for ageing
Dragons Blood for hydration
Salicylic for oily

You probably need a more oomphy moisturiser and serum. La Roche Posay Toleriane is good for sensitive and redness and they do a rich one called Nutritic intense. Avene also very good as pp has said.

I alternate between a night cream and blue pot Nivea or Astral when my skin feels really thirsty.

I am dehydrated also with sensitivity. Currently happy with my routine...

AM
Bodyshop vitamin e face wash (in the shower)
Bodyshop vitamin e toner
Vanessa Megan Collagen Boosting Gel Hyaluronic Acid Serum
Paulas choice vitamin C
La roche posay eye cream
Bobbi brown vitamin e cleansing balm

PM
Bodyshop Camomile Cleanser
Alternating nights - Paulas Choice Retinol or AHA
Keihls ultra facial balm

Facemask: avene soothing mask

THanks both!

It's the glycolic pads so I'll switch to the dragons blood.

Try the Superdrug pure hydration serum, it's about £4 and great

Reading with interest

Is there any other anti ageing things which are useful? Seen a lot about retinol etc but no idea what or how effective these are! Also where to start?

barfotoliv · 22/06/2020 20:30

Seconding the Superdrug Simply Pure Hydration Serum. Also would recommend an oil. Squalane is light and silky. Around £5 or £6 from Superdrug or The Ordinary. Or The Ordinary's Buffet serum is a great all-rounder if you want to keep things simple.

And I also adore Superdrug's Intense Vitamin E cream! So nourishing.
