I am 56, fairly “masculine” in dress sense and have short purple hair. i could never afford a salon dye so did it at home using L’Oréal Plum. I love, love this colour and genuinely get so many complements on it, even from random strangers in the street! It’s bizarre but nice.
I now have a bit more disposable income and would like to get it done properly - a nice cut and highlights/lowlights? I don’t even know what the correct term is!
My hair is VERY thick and grows up and out rather than down. in lockdown I have just taken to chopping bits out with thinning scissors to stop looking like I have a bush growing out of my head. it needs to be cut every 4 weeks.
So, I am middle aged, with a chubby round face and purple hair. i want to keep the colour. It HAS to be super easy as I dont’ own a hairdryer, or straighteners .....in fact, I don’t actually own a hairbrush!!!
I’n terrified of going to hairdressers and coming out with some weird, hard to manage do that will cost a fortune and look a mess after the first wash as I don’t know how to do it! Can anyone help? i will try and up load a photo but colour has faded and needs to be done probably next week. My hair is completely white underneath!
