I would like to get my teeth whitened - My teeth aren't too stained but could do with some help.
I have no idea where to begin or what treatment is best.
However can anyone give me some advice? Does this treatment work? Could you tell me the best whitening treatment you've experienced? and cost?
I'd rather spend more for something that will work best
A local dentist has quoted me £180:00 with trays and whitening gel we use is Zoom 16% which seems reasonable.

Thanks so much

The only safe and effective tooth whitening is that supplied by your dentist. Ignore any cheap fixes. The price quoted looks very reasonable for professional care.

Thanks perfume, I thought the price seemed pretty good.

Do an advanced search on here, I think Zoom has been advised against on previous threads.

ah ok, thanks for the heads up

I had zoom whitening after braces and that cost is about right. It depends on your lifestyle / diet as to how long it lasts. If you drink a lot of red wine for example or smoke then the results won't last as long. Also for the first week after having it done you need to follow a white food diet and avoid anything which can stain them. So no tea, coffee, red wine, curry etc. I was happy with my results and two years later they're not as white but still whiter than they were prior to having it done. I will warn you though it can leave your teeth very sensitive for a while!

Thanks NewMama20 I've looked in to this and I am a bit worried about my teeth being sensitive. Thank you for the advice.

I am looking at Enlighten which is more expensive but not sure if it is any better than Zoom.

Enlighten is pretty much the gold standard when it comes to teeth whitening, you’re guaranteed to get a white shade. It is extremely expensive in comparison to Zoom though, especially as for most of the process you’re just using retainers at home instead of clinical treatment.

Try Pearl drops first before forking out that kind of money, o.

Oops, that was supposed to end with op.
