Or a non-terrible bum bag.
I'm sure no such thing exists but today I didn't have any pockets in my yoga pants so I had to stick my phone in my back waistband and carry my keys in my hand on my walk.
Now I'm wearing a dress with no pockets which is even worse. I'm popping out later and I will probably have to put my phone in the top of my bra.
I am boycotting new clothes with no pockets but I can't really get rid of all of the ones I have!

Arket have non-terrible bum bags, I've been using mine every day! They're in the sale now - search "nylon bum bag" on their site. They are quite big, like a small handbag in size.

drspouse · 16/06/2020 13:29

Oh dear, not that keen! Do you wear it on your bum, or like in the picture?

Would a running belt work for you? They are usually less bulky than a bum bag, and have room for phone, keys etc and some have a water bottle attached, which is useful for walks.

I made myself a small cross body bag that's only just slightly bigger than my phone for just this "no pocket" problem.

Does it have to be a bumbag?

SoupDragon · 16/06/2020 14:48

This doesn't look terrible. Maybe search for "belt bag" instead of bum bag?

drspouse · 16/06/2020 15:30

That's more the sort of thing! Thanks soup.
Anything that goes over my shoulders has the potential to hurt them even if it's not for very long (they are very annoying) but belts are OK.

I found a Prada one for £1260 if that's more your style 😂

SoupDragon · 16/06/2020 15:48

John Lewis has a few, including this one which is in the sale www.johnlewis.com/john-lewis-partners-leather-cross-body-belt-saddle-bag/cream/p4875806

Zinnia · 16/06/2020 16:02

Horses for courses @drspouse Grin I wear mine cross-body mostly but have worn as a bum bag.

Def recommend searching for "belt bag" if you only need it for phone & keys.

drspouse · 16/06/2020 16:03

I feel that what I actually want is a jeans pocket that can sit where a jeans pocket sits.

And why not @StCharlotte??

I have just found this

I will get on Ebay to see if I can find a slightly large pair of jeans (not bothered about the Levis logo!)

OP posts:
SoupDragon · 16/06/2020 16:57

I was going to suggest that you could put a jeans pocket on a belt :)

SixtiesDress · 16/06/2020 17:01

Why wouldn't you just get a small cross body bag? Confused There are literally thousands of sizes and shapes from as tiny as a pencil case to the super roomy etc, and once on, you can barely feel it. Adjustable straps mean they can be placed at pockets or hip length.

That's the modern chatelaine!

SixtiesDress · 16/06/2020 17:03

^ just seen that you don't like cross body bags, but honestly if you have one with a comfy strap (not thin or chain) they feel barely-there. Smile

drspouse · 16/06/2020 18:57

I have a tiny rucksack and I do feel it.

What about something like this OP it was from Urban Outfitters I think? It's what I provided for our teen when he hoofed it off to Leeds festival and amazingly actually agreed to wear it. If not for this I know his ticket, keys, cash and phone would still be up there in a muddy field Grin

Really like the little Espirit one

drspouse · 17/06/2020 10:41

I'm dithering between the Esprit and this

That one is pretty. I wonder what the cork is like? I've never seen a bag made from it (other than pictures)
