Ideas for head-turning short haircuts please?

Thinking of going in for the chop...would love some picture inspiration! Head-turning in a fabulous way, obvs! 😂 Ideally with a fringe. Thanks lovelies. x

I’m hoping to eventually get a short haircut similar to this (the end result). When that will be who can say but I’m fed up waiting!

I have (had - it's unkempt right now!!) similar to Matilda in Leon. I have had several people of around my age tell me they don't know why, but they think that I look like an assassin....the power of film, even if we don't realise we have been influenced.....

I have had a lot of compliments on it.

I saw a woman the other day with this sort of cut and she really suited it and I thought it was quite different and daring.

Had mine cut today, turned out shorter than expected.

I asked my hairdresser for a Mary Nightingale.

I don't know if it's head turning but many people have commented on it. Mind you, he's a very good hairdresser. If you find one of those the haircut will be head turning anyway.

@Lilysharp, hair is fine but masses of it (so people think I have thick hair). Currently very long. I like having lots of hair, don’t want it to be ‘thinned out’, so thinking a blunt, precision cut might work... x

Something very similar to this with a shaved undercut on the sides rather than a scissor undercut.

@Starfish83 the upkeep means really frequent trims as it's a really sharp, precision cut and you need to really trust your hairdresser to get it right at first! If you're in a hurry it looks fine just tucked behind your ears though.

Given your update and that your hair is very long I’d maybe try a bob first, then it’s not as much of a shock and quicker to grow out than really short hair. And if you like it and want to go shorter then the option is their too. If you’ve got fine hair then it probably will look better shorter.
