I have an informal interview tomorrow for a nursing position. What do you think of this outfit? Okay? Or not interview-y enough?

*it's

SummerHouse · 15/06/2020 18:31

For informal I think it's perfect but maybe smarter without the laces? Love the red.

gutentag1 · 15/06/2020 19:11

The laces are a bit too informal, everything else looks lovely.

MBM18 · 15/06/2020 19:12

I like it and the laces. I think it'll show your own style.

GreyishDays · 15/06/2020 19:14

I don’t think the laces are taking it seriously enough. I’d swap them if you can. Rest looks great.

CushionsandCandles · 15/06/2020 19:16

Don't forget the mask!

Elouera · 15/06/2020 19:21

Sorry, but I don't know of any interview that is that 'informal'! Especially for nursing which is a professional career! I'd lose the laces and add a jacket. I'd also get proper trousers, as these look like tight leggings. Best of luck though.

imausernamenotanumber · 15/06/2020 20:07

Yep I’d add a jacket and definitely, definite lose the shoes. Informal or not, they’re not interview shoes and - sorry - scream trying a bit too hard.

Popc0rn · 15/06/2020 20:24

I think it's fine, and while the shoes and laces might not be to everyone's taste, they won't affect your chances of getting the job.

I think you could turn up wearing a bin bag and my unit would hire you right now as long as you had a valid pin number Grin.

Thisismytimetoshine · 15/06/2020 20:27

Dress for the job you want, op. There's no such thing as an informal interview. The shoes are awful.

museumum · 15/06/2020 20:33

I love the shoes (but not the laces). They look like a person who is happy in their feet for 12hrs a day which I imagine is exactly what you need to be.

Budapestpest · 15/06/2020 20:50

I think it’s fine op and nothing wrong with showing a bit of personality at interview. And I say that as someone who was a recruiter for 10 years!

NeedToKnow101 · 15/06/2020 21:29

What laces?!

NeedToKnow101 · 15/06/2020 21:53

Oh I See! .. I didn't see the third picture. Love the shoes, not keen on the laces.
