Waxed my upper lip

I normally get my upper lip threaded, but after 3 months of beauty salons closed, I couldn't wait any longer. So I bought some feet facial waxing strips and waxed my upper lip myself.

Initially the skin was very red but now it has gone sore, dry and flaky. It feels tight too if I move my mouth. I am guessing this is just a reaction to the skin being waxed, but it's quite uncomfortable.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can put on my skin to help ease it before it recovers fully? I won't be waxing it again that's for sure, I'll just wait for salons to re-open!

You might be better off with a springy thing rather than wax. It’s much kinder to your skin.

Yes get an Epiwand, the first few twiddles hurt like buggery and then your lip goes numb and you can continue removing all the hair.
