BB/CC creams for redness?

HorsesDoovers · 14/06/2020 22:23

Can anyone help me navigate my way through the choice of BB and CC creams, I need it to correct redness and would love to find something lighter than my Estee Lauder doublewear. Any advice or recommendations gratefully received!

I've just ordered it cosmetics cc cream for the exact reason .

HorsesDoovers · 14/06/2020 23:05

Ooh let me know how you get on! Where did you order from?

Erborian do a red correct CC I think. I haven’t tried it, but I love the regular one.

dinodiva · 15/06/2020 07:12

Actually OP, they sent me a sample last time I ordered and it’s not something I’m going to use - happy to send on if you DM me your address?

HorsesDoovers · 15/06/2020 07:22

@dinodiva that's a very kind offer thank you! I will message you.

I've honestly never found any of them did much and I've tried all of them

The one thing that has reduced redness for me is The Ordinary's Azelaic acid

NowImLivinInExeter · 15/06/2020 07:25

I do use Laura Mercier oil free tinted moisturiser which is the best of any I've tried, but it still isn't a patch on my foundation

HorsesDoovers · 15/06/2020 07:37

Ah that's a shame Exeter. I have used Estee Lauder double wear maximum cover for years but would love to find something a bit lighter for my ageing skin! I'm 45 now and it does seem to sit quite heavy on my face.

I sorted the redness out with moisturiser and TBH don't need a specific cream/ foundation for it now. That would only have been a dream many years ago!!

It was this one: https://www.skinshop.co.uk/kalme

Brilliant stuff - expensive but is thick so you only need a tiny bit. I used the day cream and it lasted me ages.

They often do discounts if you sign up to their website Smile

On weekends / WFH on Zoom I use Erborian Redness CC on my cheeks, followed by the Erborian CC cream everywhere. I look like me, just with better skin. For someone who likes a medium to to high coverage foundation, I’m really pleased with them, even DH commented that I look nice.

What’s the difference between bb cream and cc cream?

PolloDePrimavera · 15/06/2020 13:37

Rosalique is really good, you only need a tiny amount too. Apparently it improves the skin long term but I haven't been using it much over lockdown .

Deathraystare · 16/06/2020 08:36

Yes IT cosmetics CC cram is very good. Look on QVC they often do bargain promotions. Also, one of the IT ladies has roseaa and it really covers it up. Also one of the models Debra Ann (? spelling) and it covers hers up too.

I have slight redness above my eyebrows and the sides of my face . It covers well. You can get one that is glowy or one that is matte.

Deathraystare · 16/06/2020 08:44

It cosmetics also did something called bye bye redness. It was lovely. A small pot but you used very little. I think it smelled of coca butter. The cc smells lemony. Both are very good.

Boots No7 do a great primer with a green tint in their airbrush range.
It does solve the issue but hides it v nicely.

Horsemad · 16/06/2020 12:55

Watching with interest.
I never found the Boots one to be any good, it absorbed into my skin, so never really took the colour down. ☹️

noodlezoodle · 16/06/2020 23:27

I use the IT cosmetics bye bye redness concealer in a small pot, then any BB cream I like (or sometimes just the concealer is enough). My favourite is the Dr Jart BB cream.

I didn't get on at all well with the IT cosmetics CC cream, it went all cakey on my dry skin.
